At the age of 21, I was fortunate to land a summer internship at a local real estate investment firm. I had been going to school with the idea that I would become an attorney. However, after absorbing everything I could while working at the investment firm, that all changed for me. I knew then what I wanted to do and never looked back.

One day, after 3 years of working for the firm, both of the partners informed me that they were going separate ways and the company was going to dissolve. Both partners offered me a position to join them at their new respective companies. At that time, my wife and I were just married and pregnant with our first child. The "safe" thing would have been to join one of the partners, but I just knew that I could invest on my own and be successful. So I did just that.

On March 9, 1988, at the age of 24, I purchased my first investment property.

I barely had enough money to make the earnest money deposit, but I was confident my first solo transaction would be profitable.

What an experience!

Since then, we have been apart of thousands of single and multifamily transactions in and around the greater North Texas area. Our company has grown tremenduously over the years and our reputation in the real estate industry is impeccable.

Taking that leap and building my own real estate investment business changed my life and shaped the life of my family. I wish my 21 year old self could see this now.
